For the past couple days, I’ve been working on designs and art for a set of new buttons to sell on tour. Since a bunch of people have been asking me, I decided to make them available to buy online!

The buttons have a handwritten look to them, and many of them feature little drawings I’ve done. All of the coloring is made to look like watercolor paint as well. I’ve been learning more about my favorite graphics program, Adobe Illustrator, and this is one of the coolest things I’ve learned to do so far.

The buttons say:
“It’ll come by owl / a letter just for me.”
“Nerdfighterlike”
“Harry, I’m coming home.”
“We can do magic if we stand together”
“After all this time? Always.”

To buy a set for $5 (and for closeup photos of each button!) check out my online merch store!

We’ve also added a bunch of shows recently, including Madison, WI and Santa Monica, CA! I’m super excited for summer tour. Make sure you check the shows page to see if we’ve added a show near you and sign up for my mailing list so you can receive an email if we add a show near you!

Since I just finished playing my last little set of shows before summer tour, (dates are here!) I spent this afternoon counting everything I have left and updating my inventory in my online store to reflect what I’ve sold. A few sizes are running low, so I just wanted to let you guys know in case you’ve been thinking about ordering a shirt from me! I may not have any of these left on tour if they sell once I get on the road or online before I go.

Sizes that are running relatively low:
Muggle Friends – Large and XL
Post-Potter Depression (Green) L
It’s Real For Us – Large

Sizes that are running REALLY low:
Post-Potter Depression (Green) – XL
It’s Real For Us – XL (ONLY ONE LEFT!)

Also, if you haven’t already, you can ‘like’ me on Facebook to access a Facebook-fans-only coupon code on the ‘Store’ tab!

I haven’t decided if I’m going to reprint these designs and I can’t afford to stock a new one to sell this summer, but let me know in the comments if you have something specific you’d like to see on a shirt in the future! Related to my music, of course. New t-shirt ideas are always welcome and I may even print them on buttons to see if you guys like them (since those don’t cost me as much to make).

I’ve got a bunch of shows planned for the next couple months! With all of this excitement surrounding the awesome lineup of shows I’ve got this summer, I wanted to make sure that you guys knew about the shows I’m playing this spring!

First, we’ve got Hallows and Horcruxes in Manhattan, Kansas on March 10th (that’s just a little over a week away!) and I’m super excited about that. H&H is one of my favorite shows to play ever and I even got engaged at the one in 2010. This is the kind of show that is worth a day of travel and the bands playing it are fantastic. Check out the Facebook event for more information and tickets and such.

The weekend after that on March 17th, I’m playing in Alfred, NY! This will be my first time playing a show at Alfred University so if you’re anywhere nearby, I’d love for you to come and see me play! Here’s the Facebook event for that one.

I’ve also just finished announcing the three dates on a mini northeast tour the first week of April! I’ll be playing in NYC on April 1st, Amherst, MA on April 2nd, and Hamden, CT on April 5th. Come on out to celebrate the Weasley twins’ birthday with us!

Hope you’re all having a lovely 2012 so far! <3

So the other day when we launched our new Kickstarter campaign for Riddikulus 2012, something crazy happened. You guys got us to our goal of $1,000 to cover gas expenses in FIVE HOURS. Seriously. Thank you so, so much if you’ve pledged to donate. I love you guys so much and I can’t believe how supportive you’ve all been of this Kickstarter campaign and our tour. Since then, we’ve more than doubled our goal.

There are still a good amount of necessary expenses involved with this tour, and we’re going to keep you guys posted on what those are. Next, we’re hoping to raise enough money to pay for the tour van rental. When we hit $3,000, that will be covered in addition to gas. That means right now, we’re less than $1,000 away! The more we raise with this campaign, the better this tour will be. We’ve discussed all kinds of ideas for how to make the experience of a Riddikulus 2012 show completely unique, nerdy, and awesome… but we can’t afford to do a lot of those things without your help!

If you’re unfamiliar with Kickstarter, you pick a level of donation in exchange for exclusive and rare rewards. These include postcards from us on the road, mixtapes, a song written just for you, a custom Fairweather Friends plushie that you can work with me to design, dinner dates, private acoustic shows, and more. You don’t have to attend the shows to enjoy many of the rewards, so even if you can’t come, have a look and see if you like anything we’re offering!

Yesterday, I reformatted the Shows page on this website to make it easier to see all of the dates (yes, there are THREE St Louis shows on there!). You can hit the little ‘+’ button on the left side of each show date to expand the details. Also, there is now quite a bit of Facebook integration involved! You can hit ‘RSVP’ to let me know if you’re attending (or thinking about attending) the shows nearest you and you can even click on the little speech bubble to the right of each listing to comment on the Facebook events right from my website! Pretty cool. Let me know if this is easier to use or if I can improve the page further. Check it out!

Due to an overwhelmingly positive response on Twitter, I’ve started recording videos of myself playing the rest of the songs on The Prince’s Tale. So far, I’ve uploaded two of them to my YouTube channel, devilishlypure, and I’ve got three more in the works to be released over the next few weeks. Here they are!

Both of these songs can be found on The Prince’s Tale, which you can listen to and purchase on iTunes, bandcamp, and my online merch store.

Today, LeakyNews.com posted the first of their new series of musician profiles and I was the first person to be featured! It’s an interview-style article where I was asked about how I got started, what I’m doing now, and where I’m headed. They also featured the music video for “It’s Real For Us”, which was shot and edited by my friends Amorae Daylett and Matthew Cowling. Click here to read the profile and leave them some awesome comments!

The article also features my new promo photo! A few days ago, I cut my hair short and my husband Matt helped me to take some updated photos for upcoming tour promotion. These are my two favorites of the photos we took!
